Ham-Ham Gang[]

Name Picture Description
Hamtaro
(ハム太郎)
Hamutaro-1 The main, playable character of the game. He goes on a mission to bring all of the Ham-Hams back to the Clubhouse; all the while, learning Ham-Chat and helping others along the way.
Boss
(タイショーくん)
Taisho-1 The owner of the Clubhouse. He directs Hamtaro to bring back the Ham-Hams for a secret surprise.
Snoozer
(ねてるくん)
Neteru-1 He sleeps in the Clubhouse. If Hamtaro talks to him, he will give out helpful advice.
Bijou
(リボンちゃん)
Ribon-1 Found in Acorn Shrine. She plays a game of chase with Hamtaro, up until Hamtaro scares her with a spider. She begins crying at Hamtaro for being so mean; but he apologizes, and the two make up.
Maxwell
(のっぽくん)
Noppo-1 Found in Acorn Shrine. He is hiding somewhere above the dark cave; his shadow silhouette can be seen after cracking the wall slightly. When Hamtaro greets him, he falls from above. The fall made Maxwell too embarassed to speak; until Hamtaro falls face-first into a mud puddle, cheering him up.
Oxnard
(こうしくん)
Kousi-1 Found in Sunflower Park. He was crying due to "losing" his sunflower seed; but in reality, he was sitting on the seed the whole time.
Pashmina
(マフラーちゃん)
Mafura-1 Found in Sunflower Park. She was playing in the jungle gym - but when Hamtaro greets her, the wind blows her scarf away. The scarf lands in the Crow's mouth; Hamtaro retrieves it from the Crow, and returns it to Pashmina.

Due to color limitations, Pashmina's scarf is brown in some graphics, instead of the typical hot pink color.

Cappy
(かぶるくん)
Kaburu-1 Found in the Ruins. He lost track of Penelope, and asks Hamtaro to keep an eye out for her. Later on, Cappy appears in the Tack-Q Bowling area - in which his eyes are glued on the Shogun Wig prize. He refuses to leave without it, so Hamtaro wins it for him.
Penelope
(ちびまるちゃん)
Chibi-1 Found in the Ruins. She was playing with the Frog in a swimming pool, who was looking after her while she was lost.
Panda
(パンダくん)
Panda-1 Found in Sunflower Elementary. Unlike the others, he doesn't need any convincing to head to the Clubhouse. However, he later needs to head back to the school's workshop to fix Hamtaro's broken bottle.
Jingle
(トンガリくん)
Tongari-1 Found in Sunflower Elementary. He is performing for a Mole, a Turtle, and two Frogs, but is having writer's block in terms of writing a new song. Hamtaro suggests it should be a smoochie song, which helps Jingle get out of his creative slump.
Howdy and Dexter
(まいどくん & めがねくん)
Maido-1
Megane-1
Found in Sunflower Market. The two engage in a fight with each other, caused by their crushes on Pashmina. They compete to get a present for Pashmina; which ultimately leads to disaster.

Depending on the path Hamtaro takes, Howdy and Dexter's roles in the story can greatly differ. If Hamtaro goes left first, he will end up in the freezer, where Dexter is making Pashmina an ice sculpture. If Hamtaro goes downward first, he will find Howdy in the cash register, where he is trying to find something "shiny" to give Pashmina. In both story paths, Hamtaro will be asked to spy on what the other hamster is doing.

Eventually, Shutterbug Ham will run up to Hamtaro, in a state of panic. She explains that something has happened to either Howdy or Dexter amidst their feud. In some cases, Dexter will have frozen into a block of ice in the freezer. In other cases, Howdy will have gotten himself stuck in the register. Realizing the emergency situation, the non-trapped hamster in the scenario will help Hamtaro save the other. In both outcomes, Dexter and Howdy make up with each other, and put their feud on hold.

Sandy
(トラハムちゃん)
Chan-1 Found in Sky Garden. She was trapped in the center of the plaza, as the water current was too strong for her to leave. Hamtaro pulls the drain plug out from the bar, which allows him to cross and rescue her.
Stan
(トラハムくん)
Kun-1 Found in Sky Garden. He was repeatedly walking in circles, goofing off, around the plaza; and Hamtaro couldn't catch up to him. After Sandy is rescued, she devises a plan with him to catch Stan, which ends up successful.

When Hamtaro presses the buttons on the large, shattered TV in front of him, sinks will repeately fall from the sky. When the fourth sink falls, it lands on Middle-aged Ham, knocking him out and making him feel pooie.

His internal Japanese name, "Oyaji Hamu", is a term referring to a really bad "dad joke". This is why the TV drops sinks, as it is a pun with "shinku" (シンク, sink) and "shinpu" (父, father).

Prima Donna Ham
(プリマハム)
SpriteHHU-PrimaDonnaHam-Pose1 Ruins She emerges from the cuckoo clock to do a stunning ballerina performance.
Poet Ham
(ポエムハム)

She appears again in Sky Garden, in which Hamtaro must deliver lunch to her husband, Tekiya Ham.

Ham-Swap Ham
(あきんどハム)

When Hamtaro first met her, she began reporting on Howdy and Dexter's argument; and informs Hamtaro in the instances where they were in trouble.

Later in the game, she loses her bag at the bike rack. Hamtaro retrieves it for her - to which she thanks him, and gives him a special news flash. She also takes a picture when Hamtaro tack-Qs Hungry Ham. In her final run-in with Hamtaro, she seems to develop a crush on him, and writes an embarassing bulletin about their "relationship".

BUY IT FROM ME!" over and over, until he finally snarls and gives up.

Snack Ham
(おかしハム)
SpriteHHU-SnackHam Sunflower Market He was struggling to open a box of cookies. Hamtaro opens it for him, to which he was ecstatic - spinning around while balancing on one foot.
