Laura Haruna (春名ヒロ子, Haruna Hiroko, Hiroko Haruna) is Hamtaro's owner and the main human character. Laura cares and tends for Hamtaro very much, just as Hamtaro cares for her. Laura's age is ten and in several episodes involving the Ham-Hams, they attempt to help Laura with whatever conflict or problem she is facing. She is best friends with Kana Iwata, and has a huge crush on Travis Kimura. Laura is presumably in the fifth grade of her schooling and gets along with other students.
Appearance
Laura has hazel-colored hair which has two ponytails on the sides, brown eyes, and apricot skin. She wears a white t-shirt, a pink and red cap-sleeved jacket, blue shorts, and hazy brown shoes.
Personality
Laura has a close attachment to her pet hamster, Hamtaro, and seems to tend to him as much as possible. She has charming characteristics but appears to pout whenever she doesn't gets what she demands, as seen in Laura Is Really Gone!, when she storms off and runs away from her house because of failing a language quiz, thus unable to earn a CD player.
